Love Dereham Hardship Fund
In 2023 we set up a hardship fund that local residents within our catchment area can apply to for help with financial burdens. Life can be tough and sometimes a bit of help goes a really long way.
We will ask applicants to give details of what they are struggling to afford. We will ask basic details about where you live, who is in your household, what (if any) income or benefits you are on. We budget £50 per person in your household, e.g. a family of 4 would be able to apply to the value of £200.
What could you be eligible for?
Previous awards include paying an invoice (if agreed before work is carried out), buying items online for you such as an air fryer or heated blanket, paying over the phone for services you need such as a car MOT, having a home delivery of shopping sent to you or supermarket vouchers you can redeem yourself. We treat every application individually and try to help as best we can, so no matter what your situation is, please do get in touch.
We do not give out cash or make bank transfers.
We are not able to pay you for things you have already bought.
You are only eligible for one award in a 12 month period.

A family of 4 with young kids can't get by for too long without a hoover before the mess starts to affect your physical and mental health.
"I needed to go on a training course."
When you are in a career that requires regular training top-ups and licence renewals, all those fees can add up.
"I needed some shopping to see me through to pay day."
A single woman suffering from mental health issues called on us for a top up shop.
"I can't afford the garage quote to get my car fixed."
On the edge of town, doing the school run in the rain is no fun. Neither is walking your child to brownies in the dark.
