About us

who we are

Anita Clarke
Community Fridge Coordinator

Anita is married with three adult children. She is a qualified teacher and has spent her career working with adults and children with additional needs.

In December 2017 Anita left teaching to take up the challenge to Love Dereham. Her motivation comes from the love of Jesus that she has experienced in her own life. Anita says 'There are so many people in Dereham who are lonely, lost and feel unloved.

We need to find ways to show them that they are valued and cared for. I see Dereham growing in a community of people who love and care for one another.'

Love Dereham is a local charity that seeks to show love to the people of Dereham. The charity was formerly known as Dereham Community Support Centre and was founded in 2011.

From its beginnings, the charity has been closely linked with Dereham Baptist Church; having a Christian ethos at the heart of all that it seeks to do. However, no-one will be discriminated against in respect of their faith, background or sexuality.

The primary focus of the charity has always been to support individuals to engage with and feel part of their community.

We offer a range of projects that deliver love in practical, tangible ways. Please take a look at the specific pages for more details.
