Ready, steady, chill!

Dereham's first Community Fridge was opened in April 2018, as a joint venture between Love Dereham, Breckland Council and Green Pastures bookshop.

We all came together on April 10th to have a photograph taken for the press release, you may have seen us in the EDP (we're local celebrities now you know!).

Monday April 16th came and, with a fridge full of goodies, we were off!

The fridge's two main aims are to reduce the amount of food that is thrown away by businesses and individuals, and to redistribute that food to those who can use it. As simple as that. Keep checking our blog for more information on how it is all going.
