Tavern and Tesco Triumph!

We are BUZZING after yesterday's amazing community lunch! It is the school summer hols so as an added bonus we had families enjoying games and sunshine outside in our garden.

On the menu was scrumptious fish and chips from The Railway Tavern.

Debbie Sandford and her colleague at the Railway Tavern.

With generosity from Bunnings Fish Merchants, Lamberts Potatoes and a recent bingo night run by Dereham Tesco Extra 'Community Champion' Callie Skelton, Paul and Debbie Sandford donated enough fish and chips to serve 70 people at our community lunch!

This month we had the pleasure of two staff members, Brian and Michelle, from Norfolk County Council who work in the community with Children and Families. Michelle emailed us afterwards:

"Thank you for the invite and to all the volunteers and everyone who helped the Community Lunch run so smoothly. The meal was greatly appreciated and enjoyed.

It’s a great space for everyone to get together, there was lots of conversations and connection, you could feel that within the room.

We spoke to parents and were able to share some child play resources, and within the bag there was some information for parents to take home."
